MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 3, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- The First Tennessee Foundation announced today that it will provide up to $500,000 to Tennesseans affected by the weekend's storms through a direct contribution and by matching First Tennessee and FTN Financial employee and customer contributions.
The foundation will make a $250,000 direct contribution evenly split between the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army. In addition, the foundation will match First Tennessee employee and customer gifts to the Red Cross and Salvation Army, also up to $250,000.
Customers wishing to participate in the relief effort can do so by going to any First Tennessee financial center throughout the state and making a donation to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army. Contributions can be made through May 15.
